Biography
CASPER MARCUS
Casper Marcus was born in 1987 in Toronto, Ontario but raised on the east coast in Nova Scotia, Casper’s upbringing was filled with challenges and obstacles such as the loss of his mother which forced Casper to live in a several foster homes, having to defend himself in fights, racism, lack of support and stability for most of his juvenile life.
When Casper was fourteen, he relocated to London, Ontario where he lived with his aunt and uncle for two years. During this time, he was faced with struggles of poverty, drugs and alcohol which eventually led to becoming homeless. It was during his lowest point where Casper began to write music based on his experiences to help him cope with what he had to go through at an early age. Casper was able to use music to help him re direct his energy towards a healthier, lifestyle where he quickly began recording.
Casper who is a father to two beautiful daughters has underwired his positivity and motivation to progress his passion for music into a career. His daughters inspire him and give him reason to pursue his dreams.
In 2010, Casper released the 22- track Marcus Morris Mixtape Vol 2, a passionate piece of work that he poured his blood, sweat and tears into. He reflects on “Gary Morris” as the most significant track on the mixtape as it speaks about his father who he has not seen since he was six years old. Casper went on to release four more Marcus Morris Mixtapes in the following years, which have all been featured on The Come-Up Show and Hip-Hop Canada.
Also, in 2010 Casper formed a record label and brand Treetop Entertainment which included artists TT LO and Kehmak, as well as producer and drummer Cultu.re
Casper has won several music awards throughout his music career including Toronto’s first edition of Rhyme and Calisthenics, a USA based freestyle competition. A huge milestone in his career was when he won the London Scene Awards Hall of Fame in 2016 as the youngest to date to do so. During the 2019 Forest City Music Awards, Casper won the Fan Favorite award. He also preformed Let Your Backbone Slide for the 30th year anniversary alongside him was Canadian Hip-Hop Legend Maestro Fres Wes.
Casper has more stage time and experience under his belt the any other unsigned artists and all brings his energy and passion to the stage, giving a solid performance no matter what the population of the audience.

partnering with cooperate sponsors to provide online concerts via Budweiser Gardens with over half a million views during the global pandemic. Casper ended the 2020 year with winning Hip-Hop Artist of the year at the Forest City London Music Awards.
Casper has also been on tour with Obie Trice, Waka Flocka, MGK and Down with Webster. He also has been the only local hip hop artist to preform at Rock the Park Music Festival sponsored by Start.ca
Over the past three summers Casper has taught song writing at the annual Rap Camp hosted by the Kings College located in London Ontario. This program was brought on to help youths who are interested in the music industry learn the basic skills of hip-hop knowledge.
In 2020 Casper was the first to sign under the record label “From Nothin” Casper Marcus has continued to dominate the local hip-hop scene in 2020,
